Given the estimated 49,320,000 population of South Africa for 2009/2010
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Africa), the potential for growth in our industry is profoundly enormous. Yes I know, some will choose to think that this is not an accurate measure for the potential in any market place, but bare with me and you will hopefully see exactly what I choose to see where all this fits into the bigger picture when we are talking about telecommunications.
.
"VOX TELEPRENEUR
We have always been known for innovation in the South African market and in February 2008 we launched a consumer voice offering under the Vox Telepreneur brand. Since our launch we have signed on over 4,000 dealers and acquired over 11,000 customers with an ARPU of R272, the fastest growing startup in our history.
For the first time in the South African telecommunications market consumers receive rebates for incoming calls on our own number ranges. We expect to see strong growth in this market segment and we will continue to challenge the status quo in this segment of our business offering."

"OUTLOOK
On balance we have generated solid operating results during fiscal 2009. With further liberalisation of the South African telecoms market over the next few years we believe Vox will have an unprecedented opportunity to provide an alternative solution to corporate customers and consumers alike.
We are focused on leveraging the voice and data assets that we have developed over the last 12 years and managing a sustainable business model that generates consistent organic growth and creates shareholder value. We would like to thank all our employees for their dedication and hard work, our customers for their loyalty and our shareholders for their support during a challenging year. We look forward to reporting on our progress again in next year’s Annual Report.

# I feel that 11'000 customers in the first two years of operation as a good number. Obviously we always want it to be better. At the same time we may not forget that this penetration was achieved by mostly "inexperienced" marketers coming from different backgrounds, industries through the brave vision of Vox Telecom and it's share holders.
# The fact that there are still so many people left that does and will still in future years become our customers is very re-assuring to me because of the untapped potential to keep me busy for many days to come while expanding my business and reach into this market.
# Reflecting on communications on all levels in the company, I get the experience that our leadership really cares for the future of this company, it's employees, independent dealers and customers.
# No effort is spared and everybody does their best to contribute and ensure that the vision and mission set for Vox Telecom is enhanced by their collective effort.
# A continued drive to better the quality of products, services and support to dealers and customers is a sure sign of a business on route to succeed.
All this makes me proud to be a part of this "success story" and even more committed to do what it takes to build my future "brick-by-brick" _ "step-by-step".
I invite you now to join me in this journey - there are many seats on this bus. But hurry, it is always better to start early.
